Filing a sexual assault report...?

law enforcement is not going to spend thousands of dollars and officers time to investigate a crime that you are not going to pursue. do you know how much it costs to analyze dna evidence ? and yes, if you file any police report accusing someone of committing a crime the police will notify that person. but not if you are not pressing charges. if you don't press charges the cop and the investigation is finished before he even gets back in his car.
