What is the rationale for withholding discourse and avoiding research about female sexual deviance and?

I don't go looking for journals on sexual deviance, but it seems that most sexual crimes other than prostitution are committed by males, and some things that were once considered "deviant" are now considered acceptable if done in private by consenting adults.
